Water Restrictions
2 Day Watering
Odd-numbered addresses may irrigate on Tuesdays and Saturdays only.
Even-numbered addresses may irrigate on Wednesdays and Sundays only.
Municipal properties may irrigate on Mondays and Fridays.
No irrigation is allowed on Thursdays.
Irrigation shall be performed before 10 am or after 6 pm, to limit evaporation.
Automatic Irrigation systems may only water between 3 am and 7 am.
Smart controller permit holders may only water between the hours of 3 am to 7 am.

EXCEPTIONS: Irrigation is allowed any day (within time restrictions noted above) if utilizing a hand-held hose or drip irrigation, or if a smart watering exemption is obtained from the office of Ridgewood Water.
Two day watering is in effect because in the summer water is consumed at a greater rate than the Ridgewood Water supply system can sustain, thus reducing the amount of water in reserve for firefighting and other emergencies.
Compliance with two day watering will reduce the likelihood that more severe controls will be needed. We thank our customers for their understanding and support.

Stage III
Drought Emergency Condition: Pending/Critical- Mandatory Restriction of irrigation for all properties to the use of a hand-held hose on Tuesdays and Saturdays or properties with odd-numbered addresses and Wednesdays and Sundays for properties with even-numbered addresses. No irrigation of any kind shall be allowed on Mondays, Thursdays, or Fridays.*
Stage IV
Drought Emergency Condition: Critical- Irrigation is prohibited at any time. Exceptions for irrigation using a hand-held hose may be allowed under conditions prescribed by the Village Manager of the Village of Ridgewood.*
* Stage III and Stage IV emergency regulations shall become effective upon declaration of each stage by the Village Manager of the Village of Ridgewood. The cleaning of cars, houses or property, filling of swimming pools or other outdoor water usage shall be prohibited during Stage III and Stage IV.
