Ridgewood Water Issues 4th Quarter Drinking Water Notice Regarding PFAS

All customers in Ridgewood Water’s service area should have received, or will be receiving shortly, an updated, non-emergency notice about 4th quarter sampling levels of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) in the drinking water supply. You can view the notice HERE.

For the past few years, Ridgewood Water has sought to educate our customers about the presence of Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a class of contaminants to which the compounds PFOA and PFOS belong. Please visit the PFAS Resources page under the Resources menu on the Ridgewood Water website for additional information.

Ridgewood Water is planning to host another virtual information event specifically regarding PFAS in early January. Please check the Ridgewood Water website for updates and scheduling.

In anticipation of high call volumes and longer wait times, please use the form below to submit questions, and we will respond as soon as possible.

Thank you.
